About Licentium

Modern legal infrastructure for crypto and AI products

We bridge the gap between full-service law firms and fast-moving teams. Same regulatory rigor, faster turnaround, transparent pricing.

Why this exists

Launching a regulated product shouldn't require a five-figure retainer just to find out which licence applies to you. Yet that's the world most founders walk into when they ask their first regulatory question.

Licentium exists to fix that. We do focused regulatory work for crypto, Web3, and AI teams: jurisdiction selection, licence pathways, governance frameworks, and the documentation regulators actually accept. We move fast, charge predictably, and deliver work that's usable on day one.

How we work

Four principles that shape our work

Specific over generic

We don't write template letters and call it advice. Every recommendation references the specific regulation, jurisdiction, and product context that applies to your case.

Plain language

Regulators write in legalese. We translate. Our deliverables are usable by founders, engineers, and operators, not just by other lawyers.

Speed without compromise

Most engagements complete in under eight weeks. We move fast because we know which questions matter, not because we cut corners.

Built for builders

We come from regulatory and engineering backgrounds both. Our work fits inside your launch process instead of slowing it down.

Illia is the Managing Partner and founder of Licentium. With over 11 years of practice, he has guided innovators through cross-border M&A deals and the disputes that follow, combining transactional skill with courtroom resolve. Admitted to the bar in 2017, he pivoted early to Web3, serving as legal advisor to prominent crypto projects and carrying AML/MLRO duties that anchored complex token, DAO, and compliance questions on solid regulatory ground. Certified in money laundering prevention and an active crypto investor, Illia blends market intuition with a global network of specialists, enabling Licentium to untangle licensing knots for crypto and AI ventures anywhere in the world.

Daria Kachan

Co-Founder and Chief Legal

Daria advises Licentium on an independent basis, drawing on senior-level experience at a top-rated, globally operating crypto exchange. There, she guided the platform through licensing campaigns across multiple jurisdictions, including EU member states and key offshore hubs, while shaping the crypto, iGaming, and AI frameworks that now underpin its multi-jurisdictional product suite. Daria has focused on Web3 regulation since 2019, following earlier work in transfer-pricing and notarial practice. Her mix of frontline licence execution, policy-level insight, and multilingual reach enables Licentium's clients to navigate complex crypto and AI licensing pathways with confidence.

Dmytro Oleksenko

Co-Founder and Chief Researcher

Dmytro has focused since 2013 on one challenge: making complex regulatory landscapes navigable for businesses that move fast. He leads research at Licentium, building an AI-powered compliance platform that helps crypto-asset service providers, token issuers, and RWA projects meet the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR) requirements. The platform combines specialised legal knowledge with multi-agent AI architecture to deliver compliance intelligence that is fast, precise, and audit-ready, with tools like a MiCAR Assistant for nuanced regulatory questions and a Marketing Checker that flags non-compliant communications before they go live. Before Licentium, Dmytro spent a decade in research and analytics, synthesising legal texts, market signals, and emerging-tech trends into intelligence that decision-makers could act on.
